The main aim of the day was to see the beautiful sakuras and also to meet fellow Fuji X-Photographers. It was definitely a last minute decision to join them on this walk. The heat certainly played a part in making me reconsider my decision. But I was really glad to have made time for this photowalk as it certainly taught me a thing or two and most importantly, make new friends.
After surviving the 15 mins walk from the Helix Bridge accompanied by the 38 degree weather, we finally reached the Cooled Conservatories at Gardens by the Bay. Thank god for the fantastic cool wind at the venue as it certainly made things better for those who visited. The temperature was fixed for the many beautiful plants to survive at the conservatory. Did I also mention that the place is such a fantastic place to shoot? The infrastructure was such a sight to behold and anyone who love architecture should make this a stop of their adventure in Singapore.
The main highlight of Gardens by the Bay. The beautiful flowers on show. And to add on to them, the new Sakura flower installation in the flower dome. I can go on a million times saying how beautiful the flowers were but I guess, its best to let the photos do the talking. Honestly, when I was taking the pictures of the Sakuras, I didn’t get the hype. But after getting home and having a look at the photos, I could see why. The flowers are a constant reminder to why the world needs more flowers.
Till the next post,
